Cruelty Free Cleaning

I’m always searching for cruelty free household cleaning products and new ideas. Supermarkets have aisles full of household cleaning products, but it’s not that easy to find cruelty free products. A lot of the popular cleaning brands available in supermarkets test their, ingredients / finished product on animals. Many use animal derived ingredients, others contain harsh chemicals that are harmful to the environment and living organisms. But these products are effective, affordable and readily available… well that’s not good enough for me and I hope you feel the same too.

Vegan Crunchie bar experiment – Part two

This is part two of my experiment to create a Vegan alternative to the classic Crunchie bar. In my previous blog entry I told you how I accidentally made a very chewy caramel to start with then I returned it to the pan and added far too much bicarbonate of soda, although my result wasn’t miles away from honeycomb, it wasn’t quite right and I wanted to re-create a bar, not shards. So this is how part two of the experiment goes…

Vegan Crunchie bar experiment

Vegan Honeycomb

There are many Vegan alternative chocolate bars available these days. Go Max Go Foods have a fantastic selection, they have their own Vegan take on Mars bar, Snickers, Milky way, Bounty, Crunch and Peanut Butter Cups – but no Crunchie bar alternative, so I’ve set myself a challenge to make my own Vegan version of a Crunchie bar, read on to see how the experiment goes.
