Probably one of the hardest parts of clothing yourself as a Vegan is finding suitable footwear. Quality shoes that look and feel great without containing any form of animal skin are hard to come by. For a long long time I have endorsed Converse Chuck Taylors as they are vegan, look good and until my latest pair, comfortable.
Of course it’s a bit boring to be wearing the same old shoes all the time though, so what can you do? Well, there’s a fantastic little shop down in Brighton called the Vegetarian Shoe Shop. As you’ll see from their website they have many styles of guilt free shoes to chose from.
The one downside is that they are on the pricey side with many pairs going for around 65GBP. That’s a lot of money. I’m yet to own a pair myself (although I do have a pair in mind) but I get the impression that these shoes are not only vegan-friendly but also built to last.
When I finally get my hands on a pair I will let you all in on the verdict. Of course if you’ve ever purchased shoes from here and would like to share your experience please let me know at: firstname.lastname@example.org. The same goes for if you have any alternative solutions for vegan footwear.
