I love nuts, I could go as far as saying I’m nuts about nuts. I have them in my meals, desserts, cakes and snack on them throughout the day. It wasn’t until a couple of weeks ago that I actually weighed out the portion of Brazil nuts I was about to munch away on, to find out to my horror, that little snack was 20g fat! I knew nuts were high in fat – but had no idea that such a small portion would contain such a large amount. This lead me to take a good look into my nut intake.

It can be ever so frustrating as a Vegan to find a quick lunch. It is not as simple as just popping to Tesco or Boots and picking up a salad, sandwich or wrap. So I want to share with you the art of Vegan Packed Lunches!

I cannot believe it has taken me so long to visit Amico Bio – The first Vegetarian, organic, Italian restaurant in London. I certainly will not wait long before revisiting this great restaurant!

My love affair with Sweetbird syrups started a long time ago. It began with Amaretto flavoured syrup, in coffee, cakes, on Ice cream, I used this syrup in everything! The Sweetbird syrup range is growing and I’m writing to let you know about their NEW Iced Tea Flavoured Syrups.

I’ve never really liked Morrisons the supermarket.The check out queues always seem to back up into the aisles, the shop in general seems higgledy piggledy. And it’s all just a bit too stressful for me. However after a recent shopping trip I have found a reason to love Morrisons, (like so many of you do :-P) I discovered in their ‘free from’ aisle a box of luxury Vegan chocolates called- Caramel Choices.

An update on Cruelty Free Cleaning article I posted last month.

When I first made the decision to become a vegan I really thought I would struggle more than I have done. Of course I realised that to a certain extent I would at least be eating healthier, cutting out everyday chocolate bars etc. but I thought I would miss a lot of food more than I do.

I was recently asked this question, So here’s the answer and I’ll warn you it may turn your stomach.

Last night I sat down to aimlessly watch some television before I drifted off to sleep and a BBC Panorama special on the price of cheap foods in supermarkets came on. This program partly focused on mega-dairy factory farming. Of course as a vegan I knew of factory farming but this really turned my stomach.
